Having studied and worked as a chef for over 10 years at some of London’s foremost kitchens – including the Dorchester, Le Caprice and the Ivy, Ashley decided to embark upon a new career. Using the same ethos he’d applied to creating fine food, Ashley brought together the finest elements and ingredients and combined them with exceptional flair. He fuelled this new path with his passion for Native American cultures and set off on a long journey to South and Central America to learn more about their art. This was followed by three years of study at Sir John Cass Jewellery and Silversmithing University in London.

Techniques include hand texturing, beading, engraving and oxidizing to produce a look of the past. With the addition of colour through the use of semi precious stones, collections have a feel of individuality and a signature that sits firmly ‘Between two Worlds’. It is a look that is unmistakably Azuni.

Ashley works with a wide spectrum of material, creating costume collections aimed at high fashion trends and also more precious, collectable collections in silver.

Azuni’s latest collections: Athena, Luna and Cleopatra, are inspired by the ancient treasure troves of Greek and Egyptian antiquity. Semi precious beads have been married with hand beaten discs and finished with 24 carat gold plating, creating a Mediterranean look.
